“Tennis Elbow” Mimicking Trigger Point

Pain can really bring your favorite activities to a halt. For many whose casual hobbies include swinging some sort of club or racket, elbow pain is a common obstacle in regular sports activity. Often referred to as epicondylitis, or tennis elbow, pain in the lateral elbow can sometimes sideline people for months. While true epicondylitis is both common and inflammatory, sometimes elbow pain can come from somewhere else:

Supinator is a small muscle in the elbow that can mimic lateral epicondylitis. Typically caused by excessive elbow extension, or snapping the elbow back, this muscle is notorious for causing elbow pain.
