Clinical Massage Therapy (Bodywork) is a type of massage therapy that is focused on your pain, posture and mobility needs.  Beginning with an assessment of your area of need, the therapist will be able to hone in on the cause of your issue, not just the symptoms.  A clinical massage therapy session consists mainly of neuromuscular therapy and myofascial release therapy which are fancy ways of saying tissue freedom and trigger point release.  The combination of these two approaches will free your body of restriction and discomfort or pain.  Cupping and Instrumented Assisted therapy (commonly known as Graston) may be added to any session at no additional charge if the therapist finds it to be therapeutically valuable.  Back

Full Body Reset – Full Body Resets use all of the techniques found in a Bodywork session but with a focus on broader areas of the body.  This type of session is similar to a deep tissue massage except that with this type of work there is still a primary focus on tissue release as well as decompression.  Back

Instrument Assisted Therapy – Known more commonly as “scraping” or “Graston” this technique uses tools to assist in freeing up stuck tissue.  IAT can be included in any therapy session if the therapist determines it would be beneficial for the treatment.  Back

Consultation – A consultation consists of a physical assessment and a conversation to determine if what we offer is the right fit for your needs.  If your condition is complicated we recommend scheduling a consultation with David Phillips at our Tyvola location.  Back

Cupping – Cupping Therapy uses suction to decompress tissue.  Traditionally the cups are applied to the body and left to sit for an amount of time.  We add movement and stretch to the area of the cup placement to increase the amount of tissue release gained with this therapy.  Cupping is included in our Bodywork, Reset and Sports Recovery Sessions but ca also be requested as a stand-alone therapy.  You would simply book a bodywork session and let your therapist know you would like a cupping session.  Not all therapists offer cupping so please make sure that it is offered at the location you choose.  Back

Structural Integration – Structural Integration (Rolfing) utilizes Rolfing techniques to create releases in the body.  This therapy is offered as a series consisting of eleven sessions.  To learn more please schedule a consultation with David Phillips at our Tyvola location or send us a text to 980-292-1090Back

Craniosacral Therapy – Craniosacral Therapy is a light touch therapy and the client remains fully clothed.  The focus of Craniosacral Therapy is to work with the body to create deep releases in the physical body and the emotional body.  If you would like to know more or would like to schedule a session please go to our Tyvola location and book a session or consultation with Ragan Wren.  Back
