Megan’s deep passion for health, nutrition, and movement stems from growing up as an athlete since the age of five. Megan spent her youth competing as a competitive cheerleader which led her to cheer for The University of South Carolina while she was enrolled there as a student.  Megan says, “Being in a competitive, goal-driven environment has shaped my character from a young age”.  When cheerleading at USC came to an end, she fell into the sport of CrossFit beginning in 2012.  She dove in head first and started training and competing at the local and then regional level.  “I enjoyed competitions with CrossFit for nearly six years, which is where I was first introduced to Bodywork and was amazed at how it aided my performance in the CrossFit world.”

Her professional career after she graduated from The University of South Carolina began with the yoga apparel company Luluemon.  Longing to live on the West Coast, Megan boldly seized an opportunity that arose within Lululemon to live in San Diego, CA.  “Lululemon opened up a world of personal responsibility, leadership, and choice. This aided me in the transition to California, where I was faced with great challenges both mentally and physically that continued to bring me back to my body and explore within.”  After learning and growing for a few years with the company she knew her career with Lululemon was coming to an end. When Megan thinks back on that transitional time she says, “My gut said, “there’s more” so, I began to listen more intentionally for my next steps and guidance.”

Throughout the next year and a half, Massage and Body Work school kept coming into Megan’s mind.  In November of 2020, circumstances brought her back to her hometown of Charlotte, NC where she enrolled in the massage and bodywork program at the North Carolina School of Advanced Bodywork.  Both during school and now in her own private practice, Megan is continually intrigued by how emotions, trauma, and pain are interconnected and she uses that intrigue to make those connections with her clients.  Her journey of self-discovery continues as she has the privilege of helping people along their own healing journeys, putting the pieces together that form the puzzle of pain in the body.  “This is where my additional trainings such as Cranio-Sacral Therapy, neuromuscular therapy, and myofascial release work come into play.”

Megan’s purpose:

“To help people truly heal from the inside out.  I am a facilitator to unlock what is already within.   I am a strong believer in the body’s capacity to hold and store emotions and/or trauma and how that manifests as pain.  I facilitate to help one heal, move emotion, and live a more clear, and pain free life.  I use my strengths and passion for listening, coaching, and manual therapy to connect and heal.”
